The video below details the reconditioning and final project review of the Honda CB750K I’ve been working on over the winter of 2013/2014. To reiterate, “reconditioning” in this context means returning the bike to a safe and ridable condition, but does not involve any cosmetic work to speak of.

This bike required more work than one might expect from a cursory look, as it apparently sat outside for years so virtually every fastener was rust-frozen and difficult to remove.  A number of the fasteners broke off when I attempted to remove them, no real surprise I suppose, but this did create quite a bit of extra work.

The reconditioning involved three general areas; front end, handle bars/controls and rear end.  The only work done to the engine involved changing the air/oil filters, engine oil and spark plugs.

The owner seemed quite pleased when he picked it up and had a big smile on his face as he drove away with it.
